Where is our focus? What is the real nature behind things and people? It’s not the thing we „look at“, is it?
If I look at something, do I really see it? Don’t I have to think about it and understand it to do so? Don’t I have to connect with it to do so?
How is it that I am jumping from trigger to trigger, from certain colors to certain shapes to certain parts to certain patterns? Why am I dividing human beings into visual fragments, defining them by these and adding my own interpretation?
Why do I so often reduce a person to what I look at?
Why can’t I look her in the eyes and listen?
Why can’t I see?
